ISRanking’s Top 100 Movies of All-Time

This is the list of the 100 best films I have ever seen.

Before I get onto the list I just wanted to explain my movie “philosophy” for anyone new to the site:

  1. There are not “old” and “new” movies, only ones I’ve seen and ones I haven’t.
  2. There are not good and bad genres, there are only good and bad movies.
  3. There are not “mainstream” and “arthouse” movies, just movies.
  4. A $200m Hollywood blockbuster can be better than a Cannes winning Hungarian arthouse epic, and vice versa.
  5. “Foreign” is not a genre.

That seems a bit pretentious reading it back but the point is I’ll watch anything and judge it without any preconceived ideas.

Ok, enjoy the list and comment if you think it’s interesting.
